    Hear The Boat Sing

    After days at sea in her seven-metre rowboat Hermel, at a.m. local time on 12 November, Mylène Paquette arrived to her destination Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly, Lorient, in France.

    Hermel had then carried her almost 2, nautical miles (5, kilometres) across the Atlantic from Halifax, Canada, to the French northwest coast. Mylène, from Montreal, is the first North American woman to solo row across the Atlantic.

    During her four-month voyage on the Atlantic Ocean, her boat capsized several times and she saw enormous waves crashing over her boat while she locked herself in the small cabin of the boat.
